起業家として、新しい章をスタートします。
今日から、会社づくりの裏側で起きていることを少しずつ発信していこうと思います。
日々の意思決定や課題、そこから得た学びなど、表に出にくい部分も含めて、リアルな姿をお伝えしたいと思っています。

今日のテーマは「AIを活用した開発」です。
AIというと「コードを書くためのもの」というイメージが強いですが、それだけではありません。
AIをどうプロダクトに組み込み、より賢く、より自律的で、ユーザーにとって価値のあるものにしていくか、という視点も重要だと考えています。

今日は、

• パートナー候補との打ち合わせ
• デザインチームとの議論
• これからの開発の進め方についての検討

といった一日でした。

今日の課題

長年のレガシーコードを抱えた状態で、どうやって開発スピードを上げるか?

弊社のメインプロダクト「人事CREW」は、約5年運用してきました。
ただし、その土台となっているコードは2017〜2018年に作られたもので、一部はすでに8年前の設計になっています。

議論を重ねた結果、2つの結論にたどり着きました。

• 新しい機能を作るときは、古いコードを無理に直すよりも、ゼロから作り直した方が結果的に安全で速いことが多い
• これまでの学びを活かして理想の形で設計し直すことで、エンジニアのモチベーションも上がり、より良いプロダクトにつながる

過去を修正し続けるより、未来を作り直すほうが前に進めることもある、ということですね。
この小さな気づきが、どこかで皆さんの意思決定の参考になれば嬉しいです。

明日はパートナーシップ関連の話が中心になりそうです。
いくつかの議論が進んでいて、今からとても楽しみにしています。

Starting a new chapter in my entrepreneurial journey.

From today, I'll be sharing more about what happens behind the scenes — the decisions, challenges, and lessons we face while building a company. I want to give a real look at the work that happens day to day, not just the highlights.

Today's theme is developing with AI.
This means more than just using AI to write code. It also means designing products that use AI in meaningful ways — making them smarter, more autonomous, and more helpful for users.

Today was filled with meetings: conversations with a potential partner, discussions with the design team, and a lot of thinking about how we build software going forward.

The challenge

How do you increase development speed when your product is built on years of legacy code?

Our main product, 人事CREW, has been around for about five years. But its foundation goes back even further — it was originally built on code we wrote in 2017–2018. That means parts of the system are now eight years old.

After a lot of discussion, we came to two clear conclusions:

• When building new features, it's often better — and safer — to rebuild them from scratch rather than trying to patch old code.
• Rebuilding creates motivation. We've learned so much over the years, and designing the product the way we wish it had been built from the start helps engineers feel excited and proud of what they're creating.

I hope these small insights help you make better decisions in your own company.
